Lightbot presents students with coding puzzles that they have to solve using basic motions and drag and drop codes. In getting the little bot to light up the correct square, students learn concepts like loops and if-then statements, with little or no reading required. There is a free version of Lightbot on the Hour of Code website (Windows, Mac, iOS or Android) and a paid version on all the same platforms. In addition, there is Lighbot Jr on iOS and Android only.
